Butterfly Garden at Fair Park in Dallas

When entering a manmade butterfly habitat, remember to bag your camera with plastic. Allow the camera to come to room temperature before removing the bag. Condensation cannot form in a vacuum. This will give you more shooting time because you are not waiting for the fog to clear from your lens and viewfinder.  Chasing butterflies with a tripod is a real challenge. Most of my successful photos are handheld at high ISO settings and shot at f-8 to give good depth of field so that both wings are in focus.
